How the math works
The calculator uses three formulas depending on the program type:
- Lifetime (Systeme.io): monthly recurring = referrals/mo × (plan × 60%). Compounds as new referrals add on top of existing ones.
- Fixed-window recurring (ConvertKit): commission stops at month 12 for each referral. Year 1 is best, year 2+ drops to 0 from old referrals (new referrals still pay).
- Ongoing recurring (GetResponse, AWeber, ActiveCampaign): commission continues as long as the customer pays. Compounding growth as long as churn is low.
- One-time payout (Semrush): $200 per signup, no recurring. Best for high-traffic sites with low conversion.
